Pasta with Salmon & Peas

Make this salmon pasta in less than 20 minutes for a supper the entire family can appreciate. Children will adore the tomfoolery molded pasta while pressing in fiber and omega-3.

Ingredients

  • 240g wholewheat fusilli
  • knob of butter
  • 1 large shallot, finely chopped
  • 140g frozen peas
  • 2 skinless salmon fillets, cut into chunks
  • 140g low-fat crème fraîche
  • ½ low-salt vegetable stock cube
  • small bunch of chives, snipped

Technique

Stage 1

Carry a container of water to the bubble and cook the fusilli as indicated by the pack guidelines.

Stage 2

In the mean time, heat a handle of margarine in a pan, then add the shallot and cook for 5 mins or until mellowed.

Stage 3

Add the peas, salmon, crème fraîche and 50ml water. Disintegrate in the stock shape.

Stage 4

Cook for 3-4 mins until cooked through in pan, mix in the chives and some dark pepper. Then mix through to cover the pasta. Serve in bowls.

Easy Chicken Alfredo Penne

Nothing spells solace like Italian food. Steaming dishes of pasta, rich, simmered garlic bread, and tureens of the most delightful sauces: it’s OK there. In some cases, you need to bring that solace into your own special kitchen and, indeed, we have quite recently the formula for you. This simple chicken alfredo penne will make them say ‘mangia!’ before you even know it.

Ingredients

for 6 servings

  • 1 ½ lb chicken breast(680 g), cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 16 oz penne pasta(455 g), cooked
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley(10 g)
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese(25 g)

SAUCE

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk(480 mL)
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese(55 g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Method:

  1. In a dish over medium-high hotness, dissolve margarine, then add the chicken bosom.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook 8-10 minutes or until chicken is completely cooked. Eliminate from hotness and put chicken away.
  3. In a similar dish over medium hotness, dissolve margarine and add the garlic. Cook until the garlic starts to relax.
  4. Add half of the flour to the garlic and spread, blending until integrated. Then add the remainder of the flour and mix.
  5. Pour in the milk a smidgen at an at once, in the middle, until completely consolidated and sauce starts to thicken.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil, and mix well to consolidate.
  7. Add parmesan cheddar and mix until softened.
  8. Pour the sauce over cooked penne pasta, add the chicken and blend well.
  9. Add parsley and additional parmesan. Blend well.
